Last Week at Work
I don't get a chance to get out of the office as much as I used to. Or would like. This past week I had the opportunity to visit some farms throughout the County. This is a few of the treasures I saw.
This expertly crafted, early 20th Century, stone fence stretched for a half mile, far from any road, seen by few. It is being torn down and the stone is sold to landscapers.
These windmills are quite a sight. You never really can imagine how large they are unless you can stand at the very base of one. Over 400' tall, you can't overlook them. Some see them as eyesores, some as graceful symbols of fossil fuel independence. For opponents, flickering and noise are the major complaints. The following video demonstrates both.
