The College Move

Two other milestones were met this year that need documentation. First is Jeff moving to college. His primary college choice with a Division I lacrosse program fell through at the last minute. Fortunately he had several good options still available and he chose to go to Onondaga Community College in Syracuse. It has an excellent academic program, is inexpensive, and has arguably the best Junior College lacrosse program in the Nation. They have won 4 of the last 5 NJCAA National Championships.

So several van trips later and trips with his own car, yes, his own car, he moved in to an apartment off campus.

Here is the ceremonious quilting of the bed with the handmade keepsake teeshirt quilt made by Betty Kinsman.
Dining area and kitchen,
and living room. Probably about as neat as we'll ever see them again...
His apartment is the lower right, just a mile or so from campus.
With a nice balcony overlooking the back yard.
At the bookstore, buy or rent?
View of downtown Syracuse from campus.

The fall semester went well with lots of interesting stories and successes. The biggest of which is that he made the President's List! His GPA was 3.9.

And finally, he just found out last week that he made the final cut for the lacrosse team!

Oh, the other milestone?

Fall Foliage Wrapup

I was involved in several projects last fall that kept me from updating the blog with the fall pictures. So in the interest of continuity and maintaining the historical record, here's a few scenes from later in the season. Starting out with the vultures above taken at the pump station looking towards the White farm.

No Words

Sometimes pictures are worth a thousand words.

Sometimes, there are no words.
