Lake Shore Dinner

Jann, Bev, and I enjoyed dinner on Seneca Lake and caught this view last summer while we wished Bev, "Bon Voyage" as she departed for her job transfer to Pittsburgh. It brings back warm memories.

Anniversary Dinner

Our 9th anniversary was celebrated back in August with dinner at the Hilltop Inn overlooking the Chemung Valley. Jann received a Mother's Ring for the occasion.

Back Deck Replacement

Part of the back deck was getting quite shabby and wobbly, it was small with only a walkway to the main deck. A large tree stump was rotting under the air conditioner which was a haven for carpenter ants. The sliding glass door needs replacing and when we do, we wanted it to open on the right, away from the pellet stove. The current deck, built around the tree, only went part way across the door. It was decided in June that this should be done before graduation.

It always turns out that projects become larger than they are supposed to. What was supposed to just be a few new joists and new deck boards turned out to be a complete reconstruction.
Jann was not happy it was taking so long and taking time to document the progress was not helping.
So she grabbed the camera and put me back to work. The deck, it's functional. But still not completely done...
