Older than the Trees
My kids think that I am older than dirt. It has been said, even older than oxygen itself. But the truth is, I am older than this tree. My grandfather and I planted this tree in Biscuit Hollow at their "castle", or retirement homestead.
Okay, so I want to believe your warm and fuzzy memory on this subject, but I'm VERY skeptical that the tree pictured was the one you planted. I mean look at how BIG it is. I'm thinking there's another, smaller one nearby that holds the real distinction. :-) Sandie

Is that the one in the middle of the lawn about halfway between the house and the barn? Silver Maple?
Looks like it might not have too many years ahead of it.
On second look, I guess it was right by the corner of the barn.
