I put the deckboards on part of the dock this weekend, and Jann and I enjoyed a beautiful evening, with the first official dipping of the toes (the water was warm), and watching the wildlife, including a turkey that walked down to us.

To me... it looks like the most beautiful vacation spot in the world. I'm hoping to dangle my feet there at the end of July - first of August.
You must have read my mind. I was wishing you would post more pictures of the pond. Your pictures do make it look really nice and peaceful.
When I'm sitting in my tiny back yard this summer with my feet in a freezing cold pink plastic kiddie pool, I'll imagine that I'm sitting on your dock watching the Swallows & Dragonflies dart back and forth across the water and listening to the lulling drone of bees in the Goldenrod as I let the warm gentle lapping water tickle my feet and drain away my envy.
sigh.
Envy isn't what it's about. Well, not completely. I do hope it's inviting enough for you all want to come for a visit. We have big plans. This weekend (6/15) the contractor is here to do the finish grading, then I can pick the rocks, seed, mulch... sure wish you were here now... I'll probably do a photo story soon of the pond construction.
Phil, these are really nice photos.
